Just looking at the parts diagram... anybody who has done this job before, is it smart to go ahead and order new "clips" for the door window weatherstrip (#171898485) at the same time as the seals, or should the old clips be usable a second time?
Robert, I just did this job on my '90 CARAT. Fairly simple task. I ordered the clips and ended up not needing them. The existing clips were all there and in fine condition. You can check yours very easily. Just remove the bottom two seals and look at them, you can put them back easy enough until the new ones arrive. Some of the clips may come out still attached to the seal some may stay in the door. Be careful not to loose them inside the door or you will be removing the inner panel for a fishing expidition. They should all be in their place on the door before inserting the seal.
