I am going to add an Optima deep cycle battery to my 84 Westy this weekend in partial prep. for Burning Man. I know this thing has sorta been beat to death in the past, but I still don't understand exactly what the battery will power in the cabin other than the fridge, which I don't use for cold storage, the dome light, & the stereo if I run a wire to #30.

It appears that I have all the stock optional wiring, relays, etc. in the 2nd battery compartment, but a battery has never been installed. Can I just not connect the fridge to this setup? Is the light over the drivers side door able to be connected to this relay, where do you hook up an inverter, how do you easily connect a generator to the system to recharge, where's the best place to connect the ground strap, etc.????

The Man burns in 22 days!

Tom-don't want to fubar things & have to take my non camper bus.
