Once again, when it comes to vanagon exhaust parts, the most bang for the buck is the real deal stock item.

Maybe, just maybe the SPAM cans in your neighbourhood are made from 14 gauge #409 stainless steel but not up here ! The muffler on my '87 Westy is still the original prototype STEBRO/Vanagon Stainless Steel Muffler from seven years ago, installed July 1998. How may others out there still have the same muffler from eight years ago and 450,000 km on the clock ? Buy the OEM stuff and keep changing them, I don't care, it's your money & time after all !
