Subject: (NVC) Motors - DC Electric
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Everybody -- I'm at it again.

I need to build a couple of turntables for product display and would appreciate any suggestions for motor types to drive them. I'm not a whiz-bang on electrical or scavenging so I am calling for...."HeeLLPPP!!"

Variable speed from zero to 100 rpm is my goal for the turning table it'self so I need something in a simple, small, DC motor with some sort of rheostat speed control.. The load on the display disk will not exceed 15-20 lbs. I have seen such built using parts from treadmills ( don't know where to look on that one) and disk ot tape drive motors for older computers, especially old IBM stuff.

Don't have a clue where to look for that kind of stuff.

Any input at all would help.

Thanks,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
