I drove a couple a few times (at the front end shop in MN) and they did not handle well on the ice.

I had a 91 Grand Caravan, it was comfortable and got 25 mpg. If I took the seats out I could sleep in the back or carry full sheets of plywood. It was not a VW where I could do those things without pulling the seats.
