Yeah, I know these are "passive" vents. As I wrote in the original post,
"I know that the two dash vents on Mellow Yellow, my 84 Vanagon, just
bring in outside air. No fan, no heating, just fresh air. But my
goodness, the amount of air that comes in when the lever is in the
down/open position is puny. Even at 60 mph."
