I like the headlight relay kit because it keeps so much current out of the headlight switch.  

Other recent changes to my 1987 Syncro Westy:

Subaru EG-33 flat six with new seals, timing belt, etc
Rebuilt tranny by AA TransAxle, with taller fourth gear
New KEP Stage 2.5 clutch
New rear CV joints
New alternator and starter
All new fuel and vent lines
All new heater and radiator hose including 1.5" BellowsFlex to the radiator **
Large tire carrier for the new-ish Michelin 215-75-15's mounted on Rhine rims
New OME rear shocks, Boge fronts
Also need to install new SmallCar Syncro Springs
On the way this AM to exhaust shop for muffler/cat install

Cool rug:  My wife had a nice reddish-colored area rug shoved into the hall closet.  She thought it might go well in our entry way.  She had paid $30 in her company's liquidation store.  I thought it matched the van's Titian Red color pretty well so we had it cut down and edges bound ($12 per edge) and it looks simply marvelous.  Turns out it's a $200 rug if she wanted to buy it again.

I think sound proofing is a very worthy pursuit and I'll be getting there.  Power antenna sounds like a neat weekend project.

**Get this: One coolant hose runs out of the block to the radiator, then another runs from the radiator back to the block.  What a concept!
