Hello Fellow Volks Folks, On the internet I have seen pictures of an insulated blanket that goes around the pop top canvas for winter camping. I think it was a factory Westfalia option. I am guessing it was most likely offered on Canadian models. But I don't know that for sure. Does anyone know where I could get one or have one made? Does anyone have any pictures of one so I can try to have one made locally?

Todd, we have been down this road many times. Check the archives. The gadget your referring to is or was offered by Westfalia. I have neighbours who have one. Most folks make their own as I have. It's quite simple. Pictures of busses with this insulation are all over in the picture archives on the _BusFusion_ (http://members.aol.com/BusFusion/bfhome.htm) website and the _Club international de camping-car Westfalia_ (http://www.westfalia.qc.ca/) website. Material to use is Double Bubble, silver both sides, home insulating material available in 48" width sold by the foot at most good home building centres. Dimensional plans are on my _Westy poptop insulation jpg_ (http://members.aol.com/fkc43/graphics/vanagon/misc/insulation.jpg) website. Measure your van before cutting as I have found some discrepancies in the plan for some Vanagon Westys.

Cheers,
