Changing an exhaust system is full day guaranteed to bombard you with as many rounded bolt heads, buggered nuts, broken studs, and general stuck fasteners as it can. Other than doing a complete hose change the exhaust system is possibly the most unsavory, eye filling with garbage, knuckle banging, crummy jobs on a Vanagon.

I think you'll be much happier having the exhaust people ( much like, and similar to the Clay people ) do the job.

Just hope and pray they don't screw it up. (Ahh, but it's under warrantee)

You should be glad they aren't greedy and are accepting the parts you have to install. Some shops won't .
