i just wasted $80 at a "goodyear" shop that charged me for a 4 wheel alignment and then said the rear wheels "weren't adjustable". they also said that it was normal for their computer to print out that the spec for front caster was 7.0-7.5 degrees while the measured value was 10.5 degrees. obviously these guys have no idea what they are doing and probably don't even have the right specs. i guess i'll go in there and complain and try to get some money back. so now i have to figure out where to go to get this done right. i guess i could go to the dealer and pay $200 or so, but i've had so many bad vw dealer experiences that i really hate to give them the money... anyone have a recommended alignment shop in the bay area (preferably east bay)??
