At 65 I loose about 1 mpg. At the price per gallon at 2.50US I am loosing 5 percent or an increase of about 12.5 centsUS at over 75 I loose 2mpg or an increase of about 25 centsUS per gallon when taken relative to 55 mph rate of fuel useage. However if you are using the sticker mpg for a newer vehicle take into consideration that the current epa sticker ratings take highway speed values to be 55mph even though they havent been at that for many years now. jimt On 8/17/05 8:35 AM, "Roger Sisler" <rogersisler2000@YAHOO.COM> wrote: > I just heard on the radio that driving over 60 mph is like paying .15 cents > for each mile per hour over this figure. If gas is $2,50/gallon(dont we > wish), driving 75 mph is like paying $4.75/gallon.I havent tried this > myself, but it think it might be a bit high.75mph is a place I only approach > by passing slower vehicles, and this only takes about 5 minutes. > > |
