As the power source is really the alternator while driving, the upgrade should really be from there. You can run another wire from the battery to the fuse box but the harness from the alternator to the battery cable connection at the starter is still deficient. A separate ground from the alternator to the body will also improve available voltage and current. Am upgrading the headlight wiring to add the popular relays. I have read about 6 sets of instructions that I found online. Half of them say to feed the 12 volt power from the fuse box, the other half say to run a new power wire from the battery post. Does anyone have more than a guess on whether it's really necessary to run a new power feed from the battery for this purpose? Thanks much, Brent
