I intentionally bought a dying 83 vanagon that had a real good body and glass on it to yank parts off of. Turned out to be a very good investment. Also provided parts I have shipped to others to keep theirs alive. Provided something to tear down to look at something without tearing down my operational daily driver when doing experiments. Stored parts in it for a while too.
