Subject: FS - 81 Westy East Coast

I'm selling my 81 air-cooled Westy after a friend offered me his 86 Weekender. Located in Massachusetts - from West coast, no winters since - but does have rust under the water tank filler. . Engine rebuilt approximately 6,000 miles ago with Mahle Pistons and top components, Crank and rods and heads professionally rebuilt. ALL fuel lines, clutch, throw-out bearing, muffler, motor mounts and more replaced at that time. Brakes: rubber lines & some steel lines replaced, new rear wheel cylinders, front calipers. Gas tank, painted, sender and all vent lines and seals replaced. New 3-window Sunbrella (PLF)canvas. Stainless steel pop-top bolts. What it needs - Exterior: Not pretty, need body work and paint –. Typical dented bumpers. Interior: rear seats need covers or re-upholstering - no rips, but stained (cabinets in great shape), heater cables, - or run as is. Call/e-mail for more details, can send pictures. Located near Mass/RI border. I spent ~$3,500 on van after purchase – $2,500 or Make an best offer. Contact John via e-mail or call (508) 636-4198 (not after 10:00 EST)
