Hi all;



My 1982 Westy is single.  She was in a previous long term relationship, and now spends a lot of her spare time on the open road, looking for other like minded VW’s to hang with.  She’s a bit older than some, but still in great shape for her age.  She receives a lot of compliments from people who admire her body and colour coordinated interior.  A true beauty, inside and out.



She’s dependable, if she says she’ll be there she will, all she needs is a bit of tender loving care.  She loves a good party, fill her with gas and oil and she’ll show up, possibly fashionably late, complete with party lights, martini bar, and even her own disco ball!



She’s a bit of a flirt…..when another VW passes us, I can feel her leaning towards the other VW and wanting to follow it, slightly accelerating……I have a feeling she might even wink her lights at some of them!  They certainly like to wave at her.



She likes being single as she can up and leave any time she likes, she can come home early or late from trips, a true free spirit.  Hence her name “MIA” (Missing In Action).  She’d love to find another VW, type and year not terribly important, as long as it’s not too rusty or dented.  She’d like to meet a VW who has his own tools, and knows how to use them, is dependable, and a quick starter.  I think MIA would love to have a VW buddy for companionship and great trips together.



I haven’t brought her to a Wet Westy’s event yet, living in Vancouver B.C., ……but I might dress her up and bring her to Leavenworth in October.  As other members have indicated their VW’s are single as well, has anyone given any thought to having a “singles” camping section at the Wet Westy events?  So the busses don’t get lonely of course…..
