Well, I dropped said fuel tank on the 85 to find out what the heck was
giving me that fuel smell...

I had previously ordered all the parts from a list vendor to replace
the hoses and rubbers...

As I had it down and most of the hoses ready to reconstruct I found
that I had 2 extra bushings...funny that...I didn't see where they
went...

Pulled out Bentley and turns out they go on top of the vent
tanks...dropped the tanks, found the driver side one to have a VERY
BAD bushing and the other satisfactory...as I was replacing one, the
platic vent fitting valve thingy broke in two...WAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Lucky enough (you guys rock for your recommendations) I still have
that new 85 I dragged home from IL...stole the part off of her :-)

I am taking a quick break, but figgered I would send on the good
word...and request...

Does anyone have one of these lying around? I can just order one from
one of the list vendors if need be...my new 85 is missing it now...

FWIW, none of the fuel lines or bushings on the gas tank appeared to
be in bad repair...thanks to the person who earlier suggested to check
those bushings first...in a pinch, that's what I would do in the
future before dropping the gas tank to get me by another few days....
