The 27x8.5x14 tire is ~1 inch taller (1/2 inch more ground clearance). It will cause roughly 5% speedometer / odometer error (reading lower) due to the difference in tire sizes. It will also have the effect of raising the gear ratio, slowing the vans acceleration rate down and causing you to have to down shift sooner on hills.

27x8.5x14 = 26.7" high = 780 Revolutions Per Mile

185R14 = 25.7" high = 810 Revolutions Per Mile
