Prorating on batteries is horrific. If you are two years into a 1/4 battery costing 50 bucks (one year replace/4 year prorate) you are only going to get about 16 bucks credit on a new one. Not the 25 you would expect. The 2/4 or 2/5 batteries you at least get full replacement still at 2 years. But you pay up front on that by about a 20 percent increase in the cost of the battery.
