As usual, Terry oops I mean Robert, is full of it. It is not cheap to get a Syncro tranny rebuilt but it can be done for less than half of what he says. I have had a few done and my various Syncro owning friends have also. The actual cost depends on what all is wrong inside but a basic rebuild with the new 3/4 hub part can be had for well under $2000. Some places no doubt charge more than others but no one has to pay $4000.
