4 large for a transmission? Hope that is a factory rebuilt installed by a dealer including taxes.

The automatic does still get better fuel economy than a Syncro. Automatics that are real slugs either have an engine performance problem or a bad torque converter. Yes, the converters go bad and the symptom is poor acceleration.

Not really true but Ok if you think so.

The Dynaflow's are a bunch faster off the lights than the 4 speed's.

Cheaper to repair than the sticks too.

I know this guy pretty good out in PA. and he has a Syncro. 4 Speed.

He has been dead on the water for over a year now.

It's gonna cost him some big dollars to repair the trans.

Like close to 4 large, and not hundred, I'm talking thousand.

And this is without a clutch, pressure plate, or any of the required hardware.

You ought to talk to this guy.

He needs some encouragement, and sympathy. I'll give you his phone number.

I think he'd really like to have a dog paddling automatic right about now.

Let me know if you want his number, maybe you can help him out.
