A couple of local hardware stores carry those and other such oddments in/near the nuts 'n bolts section, along with misc. springs, rubber stoppers and wingnuts for lamp harps, etc. Dunno if you'd find such a thing at HD or wherever... try an Ace or True Value or some such.
