Subject: WTB: woodruff key

Hi,

Anyone out there have a spare woodruff key you would be willing to throw in an envelope and sell me?

In replacing what I thought was a bad alternator, I find that the alternator did not have a woodruff key - nor did the replacement I bought from Bus Depot. All the parts stores (a) don't know what a woodruff key is, or (b) laugh and say that it should have come with the alternator. I would go back to BD, but this is the third time I've ordered a part that was missing pieces, or damaged upon receipt - they also don't list a separate woodruff key.

This is for an '80 aircooled, but I suppose any bosch alternator woodruff key would work? If you know of the size of this thing, that would also help - I bought one from CIP1, but it was too small.

Thanks, Conrad
