Good points. I'll tell you another good thing about them, that I forgot about, that may redeem them: their website has a section that provides the truth about SUVs to people considering buying them. It's great. It's just odd that while they're not shills for detroit iron and japanese pocket rockets and SUVs like the magazines unashamedly are, they seem to think a 62 valiant is the best car ever. You'd think they'd have a little more heart for enthusiast cars like the vanagon.
