As a quick adendum L'Anse aux Meadows is near St. Anthony (northern
tip of the province) its another thing I regret missing (since I was
so close). And I think Bay Bulls is close to St. John's.
I also recomend at least buying "Great Big Sea"s self titled first CD
to expetrience local music as you drive. It has a water on the front
cover and red lettering. If you can"t find that one their album "UP"
is a good second choice. I'm not kidding, I played both of the two
above mentioned CD's on our trip last summer and now whenever I hear
them I am imediatley taken back to Newfoundland.
