A few US examples:

Dodge Colt - Mitsubishi Galant began in the mid1960s (the late-60s sedan was the Galant Colt, before in the early 70s Mitsubishi split the names up to make the Colt the smaller range, which evolved into the Mirage/Lancer; the Galant became the larger car range and both continue to this day... though Sigma, Diamante, Verada, Magna, 380 etc are also names used in various places for variants of the Galant). I don't know what the mid80s Tredia/Cordia sedan/coupe twins were called in the US, but the Tredia was definitely sold there... saw a rough one in a movie, driven by the star whassisname... blond curly twit who did "The Greatest American hero"...

Plymouth(?) Sapporo - Lambda/Scorpion

Plymouth Cricket - Hillman Avenger. An classic English dog.

Chevy Luv - Isuzu

Ford Courier - Mazda B-series

So... when is Mercedes going to make an MB-badged car using a Mitsubishi engine? Or is the Delica van going to be marketed as a Mercedes, Chrysler and VW??
