Hey Ed,

FWIW, on both my 85's, the Alt and OX lights both light on initial
startup and don't go off until I rev the engine past 900 RPM...been
happening for well over a year  (since I bought it) and on the other
one for about a couple weeks...

The lights only come on then...

I have been told that the OX sensor doesn't give a right reading with
lower voltage...

I think Dennis is right about your alt going out...or wiring bad or something...
