Shouldn't the fluid be level with the fill hole? I think I'd fill it to the hole. Be sure and check it periodically. They start leaking all the sudden. John.

Bentley says it needs 4L / 4.2 US qt for a fill. But for the 4 speed it says 3L is the refill qty, and that 1.5L cannot be drained, ie: total is 4.5L. So is the true capacity of the 5 speed then 5.5L when dead empty? I have filled it with 4L, and approximated the installed angle of the trans (it's on a dolly with the engine right now, so I made the engine oil pan level), and the oil level is still about 1/2 to 3/4" below the fill hole. Should I add another 1.5L?
