Nah, the wasserboxer radiator circuit is plenty big for an I4. Heck, VWSA was shoehorning in the five cylinder inline back there with the same ol' stock radiator and plumbing. These cooling systems are built for the extreme case plus 10-15%, operating with the thermostat partly closed most of the time. Pull the thermostat out and you should have ice forming on that little I4.
