Yes, of course they all came with FI here. I am looking for an
aftermarket kit to replace FI with a carb. These are readily available
for 80-83 vanagons and every Type 2 before then. I also can get a used
Euro carb setup from Indian Vic for only $500. I prefer something new
and cheaper if I can find it. I am not afraid to use a Digifant FI setup
since I know those well enough, I simply prefer a simpler carb setup for
this use. I may just have to adapt the waterboxer manifold ends to a
80-83 plenum and carb setup.
