Gary,

The Eurovan is NOT built on a Passat platform. It is built on a ladder frame as are all T4 (4th Generation) Type 2s. I owned a EV and also toured the plant in Hannover. The T4 has many variations....vans, pick ups, long wheel base, short wheel base, etc....none of which would be able to carry the load if the T4 were built on a car platform. Perhaps you are thinking of the Sharan, a VW minivan built in conjunction with Ford....
