Actually I am talking about where the propane gas meets the brass fitting that controls the amount of gas that has the tiny hole. I have to take the brass fitting out and clean the orfice once that's done the fridge runs great..and keeps things very cold. esp since zip tied a cpu fan onto the top of the internal fins that kicks in when the rear fan comes on. My understanding is that the flame should never get down that far and should remain on the burner so I don't believe that it's a cabon build up. Any other suggestions?

Which orifice and where? If it's crud on top of the where the flame is, then I'd guess that it is rust comming down from the exhaust chimney, and one needs to run a bottle brush up and down the chimney to get all of the loose crud out.

I have photos up here http://photos.yahoo.com/mwstebbins see "fridge flame" folder.
