:::at or waved to other VW van drivers, and always got a wave back. Saw
:::this in eastern Australia in 76 too, when my family rented a Bay

:::I wouldn't bother waving from my Caravelle, because I doubt other VW
:::van drivers would even recognize it as a VW, they are so rare here
:::(well, I probably would wave or flash, but doubt I'd get more than a
:::puzzled look... or a slight wave indicating that the other driver is
:::thanking me for warning him that there's a cop lurking ahead!).
