well i have and its a biotch on my olf 1.9, the bolt snapped of on me, anyway I'm getting a pump for about 40$ today. I really forgot the amount of coolent you loose since my old 1.9 had bad head gaskets and it was draining.

It is a little more fun with the 1.9, I understand. One thing is good to know. Opening the bolts on the pump pulley, I use an old belt and let it get jammed between the main pulley and itself to get tighter as you turn the pulley. It works for opening and closing too. Otherwise it is only time and not money that it takes. Sure the pump costs some.
