Rob,

If you push the windshield wiper lever away from you and release - the rear wiper will operate for approximately every 6 seconds (intermittent wiping).

If you push the windshield wiper lever away from you again and release - the rear wiper stops.

If you push the windshield wiper lever away from you and hold - both rear wiper and washer will operate until released.

Wiper and washer function overrides intermittent wiping. After releasing lever, intermittent wiping continues if previously set.
