I was watching the German news on our local PBS station the other day, and they had a package on about high gas prices in Germany. They interviewed a woman at a gas station who was filling up her Vanagon, and she remarked how she was planning to get rid of it and get something better on gas!

I saw plenty of Vanagons in Germany and Austria when I was there in April, including many nice Syncros in the Bavarian Alps.
