I guess I'm the dumbest guy on this list ................... It took me nearly three days of intensive parts replacing to find out that a van I bought had to be in reverse to start the engine. Who ever thought of using a backup light switch as an ignition safety devise?. Believe this or not ................ On my Porsche the interior light between the sun visors must be in the rear position to start my car. That is the position that would normally light up when you opened the drivers door. I get a little tired of dealing with home spun security patches and paranoia memorabilia. I'm probably going to be forced to buy a new Porsche just to get a car that hasn't got funk!

The wiring in my westy is no where near stock. But as long as I have my own drawings of where the wires are going and what fuse panel and which battery bank, etc. I donšt care if the next owner knows where anything goes. With me the next owner will be next of kin or the salvage yard. Depending on which dies first. And yes I do have drawings of my work. I have learned that paper works far better than memory. jimt
