Volks,

Earlier this afternoon I sent a note.

Gail Stein, was on I-80 heading East around Lincoln, Nebraska when she began having problems with her 2002 EVC.

Thank you George and Britt for your help and suggestions.

The engine started missing, sputtering badly and the "check engine light" came on.

She got off the road, let things cool down, checked the fluids and was able to get the van to an import repair shop.

They checked things out best they could but found no problem.

Thye felt she would be ok to continue on until she could find a shop that specializes in Eurovans.

Since then she has driven another 4-5 hrs heading towards Chicago her next scheduled destination for this leg of her journey.

I gave her all the info from the Vanagon Rescue Squad, AIRS and the VW Shop Listings for the states she will be passing thru.

One more request ....

If anyone knows of a good Eurovan Shop in the Chicago area please let me know.

Gail would like to get this problem thoroughly checked out before continuing further.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

good road, good adventure larry chase www.roadhaus.com www.roadhaus.com/shops.html www.roadhaus.com/tires.html
