No kidding. When I drove a friend of mine to the F1 race at Indy this summer (and all way up there introduced him to the world of westies) we met another westy owner there who had likewise dragged along a friend who by the time we met them had heard enough about westies. I heard his friend say to mine: "these guys would like nothing more than to frolic down endless rows of westies, wearing suits made out of that damn striped seat fabric."

Yeah, and?...

Here's what I'm going to do to prolong the inevitable if I don't find some fabric: inspired by the Medical Channel on TV, I'm going to do a graft like they do when they take skin from a normally unseen area to do cosmetic surgery: I'm going to take some of the fabric from the underside of my rear cushion and have it replaced with any old thing and put the donor fabric on my front seat.

In the mean time I will google "hand weavers" to see if I can have some created.

Sheepskin covers = scar tissue.
