I thought I was pretty slick, laying on my back under my Vanagon, fuel tank balanced on my chest. Slipped the front end over the frame lip, lifted the back end up with one hand, and slipped the retaing bars in with the other. Took five minutes. Attached the fuel lines, filled the tank, and all is good, right? Whoops. Fuel gauge isn't reading. I forgot to connect the sensor! So the question is, can I reach the sensor without dropping the tank again? Anyone ever reconnected it with the tank in place? -- John Bange '90 Vanagon "Keine Bange, wir holen die Zange!" |
