I agree with Leon that your best bet would be to find what's causing the heat problem and put the fan back on the radiator thermoswitch where it belongs; but if you just want a way to keep everything as it is and just deal with the switch problem, pretty much your best bet is to run it off a relay. If the wiring up to the switch is adequate, it should be pretty easy to stick an automotive relay right there in the dash.
