after a motor has been sitting a couple of years, I'd imagine it's worth lubing the cylinders, maybe with a squirt of oil through each sparkplug hole, before trying to start it. A year ago I started a long-sitter (more like four years) and ruined a piston that had dried out. I'm not an expert, but maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in
