You're probably right. But I am such a gadget weenie. I have my topo mapping software on the laptop, my gps street navigation stuff, we like to watch DVDs in the evening . . . the laptop's battery is good for a few hours, but not enough to guarantee that it will be usable more than a day into the trip if I depended solely on it.
