Volks, My Syncro won't go into reverse and it is very difficult getting it into G. The remainder of the gears are fine. The rebuilder is suspecting a bad G/R assembly and it looks like the gear box will have to be sent away to be rebuilt. Crawling under the vehicle and shifting directly on the transmission doesn't resolve the problem either (eliminating the shift linkage). Is there anything else I should try before removing the transmission as I really don't want to be without my TriStar for a month. It is quite unusual as it just happened all of a sudden. :-( David Marshall
