Hi all;

In response to the post requesting ideas for food ideas......I love to make basmati rice at home, some humous or tzatziki & pita or nan bread, and bring steak/stewing beef, and put it in a pan with a jar of curry sauce........add some veggies......tastes amazing, especially now that we are getting into the cooler weather.

Steak is always good, marinated and put into zip lock bags.  You can bake potatoes in the microwave before you leave........warm by the fire.......

Homemade spaghetti sauce frozen in zip lock bags.....bring along and reheat with noodles......buns with garlic butter warming by the fire.....

I used to prepare all of my food before camping, it would take several nights of planning, listmaking, shopping and preparing.  Now I grocery shop on the way to my destination, purchase an assortment of meats/fish and veggies, and keep a good a supply of garlic, balsamic vinegar and olive oil in the van.....several sauces....and I make whatever I feel like at the time.

If anyone wants to caravan from Vancouver let me know, we have several interested (and hopefully slow) vans already going!
