so this is my first week back at my real (non-vw) job since surgery..(playing catchup) but over the weekend i was re-screening about a dozen westy side window screens.. (i have a bunch of drivers side ones, and only one pass side one, for those interested)

as most of you know, or maybe u dont know.. the westy side screens are NLA.

there are westy owners out there who are totally missing their screens, frames and all.

and there are some who have their frames, but just the screen is ripped.

well.. re-screen it!! its not hard at all. dont throw your frame away just because the screen is ripped!! the frames are whats hard to get!!!! thats just like cutting your toe off becuse you have a hangnail.

all you need is a roll of screen from homedepot, 10 minutes and a hot glue gun.

for those who are not handy, send me your ripped screens..i will re-screen them ..

the result looks better than new and wont rot because i use the alum. screen, not the nylon stuff that rots from UV rays. (mesh is the same size)

chris
