You could get a piece of hose and connect the fuel pump to a clean full gas can to test it for sure. A short piece of hose and a bolt will block the tank from draining.

I got a tank and all the gaskets from BUS DEPOT when I replaced everything in my 1984 White bus. It worked fine. I just painted it black and used dielectric grease on the sender gauge connector.

>>> Warren Lail <wlail@OU.EDU> 08/30/05 12:48 PM >>> I have determined that my fuel tank is clogged with rust or something. Fuel pump works fine, the new filter, but fuel pump makes a lot of noise even on a full tank. It is being starved. I installed my spare fuel pump and no change in symptoms.

So, I need to pull my tank and clean it out and reseal it (the vent lines leak anyway).

Two questions: Who has the best and most complete reseal kit? How hard is it to get the rust out?

I have searched the archives for a good walk-through of the procedures, but no can find.

Your help is, as always, appreciated.
