I'm trying to do a little diagnostics here on a 1.9 that won't start. It cranks, has spark (at least at no 3) but will not fire. Anyway, I want to remove the connector to the Hall unit (mounted on the side panel next to the idle control unit to check the voltage (as outlined in the bentley) and I can't figure out how to release the clip> I figure it has something to do wiht the spring wire running across the face of it but not wanting to bugger it, I have not put much pressure on it. How do you release it?? ONe other point: the resistance across the coil to distributor high tension lead measures over 10 K ohm. Should I be replacing this?? TIA |
