Proven in testing.. Close windows and run the air conditioner on the highway. Aerodynamic losses from open windows create more drag then the AC uses. Open the windows in town traffic. The AC uses more power from the engine than any losses from aerodynamic drag. (open windows have very little drag effect in normal town driving speeds.)
