You can get 19 different replies to this but most common problem is that you'll stop up your dryer or suction valve with a lubrication that looks a lot like yellow cottage cheese. It doesn't really matter though cause you're going to need to replace the dryer, replace the suction valve, replace the compressor seals, flush out all your lines, condensers, evaporator before you get a quality conversion and add back the proper ester oil. You'll just be wasting the price of the R143a if you unplug your compressor when the belt begins to slip.
