> What is the list consensus on product comparison of the Propex & the Plat >> Cat ? >> Anybody used both? I have a Carver; Bob Stevens has a Plat Cat--right, Bob? (Carver is a predecessor of Propex.) A very significant difference is that the Propex is forced air with vented combustion, so no water vapor is discharged into the passenger compartment. Cat propane heaters put the H2O and the CO2 in the passenger compartment. I run my Carver with no window open or one very slightly. With a cat heater you have to supply combustion air and vent the water vapor. Richard A Jones Boulder, Colorado |
